| The last light fades and drifts across the land -- the low, long land,
the sunny land of spires; the ghosts of evening tune again their lyres and wander singing
in a plaintive band down the long corridors of trees; pale firs echo the night from tower
top to tower: Oh, sleep that dreams, and dream that never tires, press from the petals of
the lotus flower something of this to keep, the essence of an hour. This Side of Paradise, F. Scott Fitzgerald

| Membership in A Novel Approach
is free. Our site is supported though member donations. ANA is maintained
and run by volunteers.
All members are required to accept our ANA Charter, a document that will be provided for you to read should you decide to fill out our application form. ANA is not an exclusive site, although the total number of adult members we support is limited. The first 45-days of membership are a probationary period. This introductory period gives new members the time to determine if ANA will meet their individual needs, and allows our Administration to remove those who fail to make any effort to participate. Every month we write a short story and/or poem an/or non-fiction article based on a specific topic or idea that is selected by member vote. We post our work on our Study Group Board(s), and share feedback with the other members of our group. At the end of every month, each study group nominates one member's work as the Best of Group. We then hold a site wide vote to select the Work and Poem of The Month. Participation in the Best of Group selection is optional. We do not currently hold a Best of Group or Work of the Month selection for our non-fiction members. ANA maintains an archive of all of our Best of Group winners and the Work and Poem of the Month are posted on The Hall of Fame. Our ANA archives are available only to ANA members but The Hall of Fame is open to the general public. Study Groups are limited to a maximum of ten members in order to reduce the time you must devote to composing constructive feedback. After all, we are here to write, not spend all of our time critiquing the work of others. Interested in joining our group? Our only
requirements for membership are that you MUST submit one story, poem, or
article per
month, and give constructive feedback to all of your study group members. |
